Actor JC leaving GMA for better deal in TV5

One of GMA-7’s most valued leading men is not a Kapuso anymore. JC de Vera now embraces the joy of being a Ka-Shake. The actor is now on the list of TV5’s non-exclusive stars and is being build up as the network’s lead matinee idol.
JC’s career dilemma started when his manager Annabelle Rama and Kapuso network executive Wilma Galvante engaged in a much publicized rift. The then Kapuso star admitted that he was the one to carry the burden caused by the gap between his manager and his boss.
He said it was a ‘relief’ being pulled out from the Kapuso network. JC’s contract with GMA-7 expired last March 14 and this also ended his inconvenient situation both personally and professionally. JC was part of the Kapuso primetime program Panday Kids where his stint has ended.
It was hard quite a hard decision for JC to move out of GMA-7 because it is where his career started and bloomed. But he has no regrets with this decision and furthermore shared his joy because now, he won’t be taking in the burden of the war that pushed him to do a major career decision.
